Harbourline Apartment

Most apartments are a set of boxes with a corridor tax. This one had a living room that never saw afternoon light and a kitchen that turned its back on the rest of the house.

We treated the plan as one room with pockets. The kitchen opens to the living edge. A white-oak run starts at the hob and becomes a desk, then a low cabinet under the window. Storage is in the thickness of walls, not in extra furniture.

Cane screens filter the west sun without killing it. Microcement floors keep the palette quiet. Brass shows up only at the hand — handles, a lamp, the edge of a shelf. The interior is not a theme. It is a way to live in 1,100 square feet without feeling the number.
